Timer

While the "Lights", "Groups" and "Scenes" resources are often used to directly control the Hue Bridge, i.e. via direct selection in this app, the "Timer" resource contains all countdown counters that trigger different actions after the expiration of defined periods of time. Timers can be used to switch on certain lights or to change their brightness or color after certain times (once or repeatedly). Since the timers are stored independently on the Hue Bridge, they are executed completely regardless of whether your end device (smartphone, PC) is connected to the Hue Bridge or not.
